1. Please describe the moment you found out you were pregnant.
My husband and I had just started trying to get pregnant. We returned from a Memorial Day weekend concert and he told me to take a test. It was a week before my period so I knew it was too soon but I took one anyway. I looked at it and there was only one line so I took it to him to see and he said "there's a faint second line here". I did a double take and sure enough another line had appeared. We were excited yet a bit of disbelief. Needless to say, he had me take a test every other day until my first doctor appointment 4 weeks later.
2. How did you announce your pregnancy to your friends and family?
We framed our ultrasound picture and wrapped it. Told them it was a picture we had printed for them  from our wedding.

3. Name the most beautiful and the most unpleasant pregnancy experience
Best: first time to feel baby kicks at 15 weeks!
Most unpleasant: headaches everyday that lasted during the 4th month

4.Tell us about some pregnancy problems that the glossy books don’t really talk about
One of the early symptoms that I had never read about was a metallic taste in my mouth.  Not necessarily a problem but it definitely wasn't pleasant. Nothing took it away and it lasted 4 or 5 weeks

5. Your giving birth story, anything you want to share
I was scheduled for a c-section but woke up that morning at 3am with what I thought a nervous stomach.  The cramping never subsided but only got more intense. We got to the hospital earlier than planned and my contractions were 1 minute apart. The nurses called my doctor in early and we had our baby within the hour. Baby girl was determined to make her debut that day!

6. Which personality traits do you hope your future children learn from you
Kindness, compassion and a giving heart
